Monday:
Obz Café Theatre and the Documentary Filmmaker’s Association (DFA) present Doc Love, a showcase of thought-provoking and entertaining independent documentary film. The first documentary featured on Monday, 12 July will be Maak It Aan directed by Nadine Cloete.
'We are organising Doc Love to give a platform for young and independent filmmakers to showcase their documentaries,' explains Dylan Valley who is a filmmaker himself and is in charge of the Youth Portfolio of the DFA.
Tuesdays:
Woodworks Open Mic Musician Connection Session, allowing music lovers an opportunity to witness for time stage appearances of new and emerging talent. Experienced musicians and sound engineers give valuable insight and advice to new performers.
Wednesdays:
Shakespeare Unplugged is our Wednesday feature. Past and present students from the highly acclaimed Independent Theatre Movement of South Africa (ITMSA) are given a stage to show there thespian skills in an intimate theatre enviroment, capturing the essence of theatre.
Sundays:
“Comics@work” started out as a small event every Sunday evening where up and coming comedians could try out new material and have fun on stage. Word soon got out in the comedy fraternity and now you could expect just about any of the well known comedians making an appearance.
